Hello! This will be my 9th year to support Komen for the Cure! Nine years ago I walked as a breast cancer patient in the midst of chemotherapy. This year I celebrate 9 years cancer free. This year I will not be able to walk due to a family commitment, but I will continue to support Race for the Cure by raising funds. I also celebrate my mother in law, Barbara, who is now a 2 year survivor and is bravely still recovering from the effects of chemotherapy.
Last year I formed a team, Angie's Angels, in an effort to do even more in the fight against breast cancer. I can name 32 different women in my life whose lives have been affected by this disease, six just in the past year. I know two sweet ladies who sadly lost their lives to breast cancer. I am very thankful that two of my very closest friends in life, Carolyn and Tammy, are survivors along with me. I celebrate my friend, Vicki, who is a one year survivor this year!

Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. 75 percent of the money raised through the Race stays in the community to fund local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. The remaining 25 percent supports groundbreaking breast cancer research.
Together, we are fueling the best science, boldest community and biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. And we will not stop until this disease is gone forever. That’s our promise. Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation today?
Thank you so much!
